Workforce Development services for On-The-Job Training and Employment Placement continue to be in demand for adults with physical or cognitive disabilities. We are currently unable to meet demand until we fill one open vocational specialist role.
Mission Impact: An On-The-Job Training program participant began his Janitorial training at administrative offices 10 weeks ago. When he began there were initial struggles with completing his work without supervision or support. He felt more comfortable with someone ensuring he completed tasks and providing helpful reminders throughout his shift, including what tools to use and how to properly complete each task. Within the last two weeks, he has been able to arrive at work, collect the tools he needs to complete his task and work independently without any support or correction, and openly greet and welcome guests. These are tremendous milestones for his job acquisition prospects.
