President and CEO of Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc., a social enterprise serving 1,200 team members and almost 50,000 people annually in a 10-county area in West Central Florida. Funding for services comes primarily from the sale of 1.1 million donations generously given by the public and businesses. Support from shoppers results in over 2.1 million retail transactions annually. The organization seeks additional funding through foundations and government sources to help meet critical individual, family and community needs. Over many years with this organization, Ms. Passerini has designed, implemented and administered a wide range of services while concurrently developing a successful retail business that supports the organization’s mission to transform lives through lifelong learning and the power of work. Ms. Passerini has a graduate degree in human services and counseling from Boston University. For many years she was a certified rehabilitation counselor providing services at Goodwill for individuals and families. She completed the Certificate of Professional Achievement in Nonprofit Management through Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management/Center for Nonprofit Management. She also completed the Executive Development Program with Goodwill’s Leadership Institute.
